I have been experiencing a problem with the Acom amplifier going into the protect mode when transmitting with the Flex radio. The amp seeing an arc fault stops transmitting constantly. I have to reset the amp only to have it keep happening every time I transmit. This faulting problem does not occur with any of my other transmitters. The 160 meter band seems to be the common denominator. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was does to cure the flex. The problem is not with the amplifier. Is there a calibration that can be done to stop this from happening? The SWR is fine and all else looks fine with the panadapter readings and metering.

I have no problems with my Acom 1000. I am using the rear SDR1000 db15 connector using pins 7 & 15 going straight to the amp.

Do you have any issues with ALC?

I thought the Acom relied on ALC.

I'd hate to blow up my amp (VL1000) solid state amp.
