I am an undergrad student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. We have as term assignment the development of a simple Software Defined Radio. I am using as guideline the quite amazing do***ent written by yblood found in this site(4 parts). But theres one question I could not find an answer to( may be because I havent gone through the do***ent that elaborately so far). the question is whats the Recieving Coverage of the radio i am gonna develop from the doc? We have FM radio channels here, and if we cant show the teachers by tuning into those bands we are not gonna get anything good out of it. SO can anyone help? can we catch FM bands using the radio developed using those docs?

If you want broadcast FM stations you will need a much faster sample rate and your baseband IF will have to be much greater than the 11khz that the flex radio uses, due to commercial broadcast FM using ±75 kHz deviation (here in the states)
sounds like quite the project.
good luck
