Hi
I recently got an SDR-1000 with an FA-66 sound card. I have downloaded and followed all the instructions, I think. I have a docking station for my Thinkpad T61 that has a parallel port. I have a cable that has all the 25 pins connected through.
When I try to start up PowerSDR 2.5.3 or 2.4.4, I get error messages (e.g. "High SWR") and no spectrum. One message says something about the transmit filter settings is out of range. I have tried the following:
1. Went into Device Manager and found the Printer Port (LPT1). In "Properties," found “Resources” and noted the “I/O Range” setting. Copied this down and used it in the PowerSDR parallel port setup.
2. Installed vv1.18.6 and install it. Someone said it installs something needed by the newer versions.
3. Went into the bios and set the parallel configuration to ECP.
4. Tried downloading "PortMon," but it shows no activity.
How can I get the parallel port working and how can I tell that it is working?
Apart from the printed SDR-1000 manual, do you have step by step instructions for the parallel port setup?
