I believe i have VAC setup correctly as DM780 can decode psk31 just fine

But i can't seem to hear it on the speakers of my pc. Should i be able to? is there a trick to that?

No there is a 1/4 inch stereo plug on the front for access to head phones on the back of my Flex 3000 there is a mini jack for speakers.
On your control panel at the top 7th from the left is MIXER right side of this pull down, power speakers out, head phones, Flexwire , have the first two checked with speaker plug in you should here sounds.
If you want to here what your TRX in digital below the power button is button label MON tick it adjust the volume.
I have web site with all the setting to get you up and running this setup is for Flex 3000 should be pretty close for other flex radio expect where the speaker jack is located.
