Hi Everyone.

I would appreciate any advice in getting my Flex 1500 set up to receive DRM broadcast transmissions. I primarily purchased my Flex 1500 to listen to the HF BC bands.

Any help/advice on obtaining software would be appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Steve. UK.

Howdy,

I fire it up every once in a great while. It really works quite well!

Here's the worldwide broadcast schedule:

If you Google "Dream DRM", somewhere you will find the compiled source with the codecs.
The combination Flex(PowerSDR) and Dream will require some robust processing power.

Steve,

Here is the Knowledge Center link for setting up DRM . It's showing a much older version of PowerSDR , but the set up is the same ..

http://kc.flexradio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50353.aspx

Works great if you can get enough signal.. Here in the states, the signals usually are too low for good reception. Takes a good 60 dbm signal and no signal fade for good steady reception.

Hope this helps,

Dudley

Hi Dudley.....

Sorry for late reply......i will give your recommendation a try.......

Love the Flex 1500 and just to point out i really enjoy using it as my sole RX for BC listening!!!!

I did offer up via the correct channels, a suggestion whereby a record facility (enhanced to the exsisting one) could not use .wav files as they eat up hard drive like a goat.

I have tried to record my BC stations (DX) via the pc out jack whilst using the Flex as the point of output for monitoring, but its just not happening. I am just using the simple "recorder" that i have installed on my pc. Any ideas Dudley as to how i may overcome this minor problem.

Many Thanks again for your your help!!!
