I had a 1500 a few months ago but sent it back.

I would have to adjust the gain of the waterfall every time I changed bands The gain was so high it was a bright yellow.

I liked the radio except for this and a few other small things.

I am thinking I would like a 3000 and was wondering if you have to adjust the gain of the waterfall each time you change bands or you can set it once and forget it

appreciate any info on this.

Thanks,

James

Hi I am an Flex 3000 owner, but hardly ever use the waterfall. The softwear for all the Flex radios are the same and should all work the same other than some features that some of them have. I think the settings should save as you leave them. I sugest calling Flex and ask them about it, they are good to talk too. good luck.

I saw this same problem when using my 3000 on the latest version of SDR the other day.
Didn't see it as much of a problem...

I talked with flex and they day it does it on all the radios I have a Perseus and it never needs touching up Flex says they have it down as a problem to fix. Seems to me if you set it to go no higher then a certain point it should stay set.

Other wise they make a fine radio
