If I install 2.3.5 on a freshly (format partition) Win 7 Pro 64 bit PowerSDR works perfectly
using a USB2/3 port (NEC driver). No stuttering. Great audio.

Then I updated with Service Pack 1 and many waves of updates and the 1500 goes mute.
Its little relays click obediently but no signals appear and there is no audio.

I exit PowerSDR, power down, move the connector to a regular USB2 port and do the drill.
The radio works but the stuttering is terrible.

BTW PowerSDR didn't work at all after a Windows 8 install. Back to Win 7.

When can we get a Linux flavor? Windows is out of control.

I installed a PCI board with USB ports and plugged the 1500 into one of its ports. I leave the other ports on the board unused.

This seems to solve the problem (knock on wood).
