I am using a Sony Laptop, Intel i5 processor with SIIG Firewire 2 port ExpressCard.
I have loaded PWR SDR 2.2.3 and the flex-firewire driver 3.5.0.7171.exe.
I have tried most of the fixes posted in this forum but to no avail. After a few minutes PWR SDR freezes, no audio, no RF and water fall just streaks scrolling. By restarting the PWR SDR it resets, good for another few minutes.
It is frustrating. This Flex 3000 worked fine on my desktop. I was planning to take it along on my trips throughout North America and Europe.

I know you have tried everything, but here are some thoughts. Freezing is mostly a driver problem, or compatibility. Make sure your audio settings are the same, sample rate? The fire wire adapter should be a Lucent chipset, see the knollege base for laptop compatibility. Good luck

I have acquired the Firewire 2 port ExpressCard SIIG as a recommended accessory from the local FlexRadio dealer. It has a TI chip set. From the outset I had problems with the drivers selected by Windows . 2 drivers, Ricoh and TI creating a conflict and crashing O/S every time I started FlexRadio or Power SDR. I finally selected a Legacy driver for both port. Now I can set everything up and run Power SDR until it freezes.
I may have to look for another ExpressCard with one port and a Lucent chipset.
