Perhaps this found in the manual (or forums) but I haven't seen it.

I would like to know if I can connected remotely to a Flex3000 at my home.  For example could I connect to my home computer and system and run the radio remotely from my work system?

There will probably be firewall issues since at home I have: 1) a router on my side of the cable modem; 2) the firewall on my computer; and last 3) the virus protection software on my computer.  I should be able to configure all of this.

If it works like EchoLink does, I haven't been able to use that system without going through a Proxy server for some reason?  I have checked all phases (the 3 above) and it still won't work.  This leads me to worry that it might not work for the flex either, unless it uses a different mechanism than port Forwarding which doesn't seem to be reliable.

Any pointers, thoughts, links to documents or threads are appreciated.  Dale, N7OXF

I use the Flex3000 remotely by using Real VNC or LogMein, the latter does not need you to get to the port forwarding on your router. I use Skype for Audio. This works great - if you need more info contact me.
