I'm new to digital modes on the Flex. I did a little bit of RTTY a few years ago with an Icom 756 Pro III and a Rigblaster Pro.

I've just set-up VAC & DM780 and all seems to be working well. I can read RTTY, PSK31 signals just fine. My question has to do with transmit on my Flex 5000. Is it necessary in any way to adjust the default transmit bandwidth? My guess is "no" as I've experimented with it into a dummy and doing so seems to create more problems than it solves.

If it is necessary to do so, what settings have you found that give the best results?

Thanks.

Everett

Everett,

You can save the TX bandwidth in DigU or DigL , IF you have the "Save Slider Sidings" selected in the Filter Menu of Setup.. This will save the slider settings of the "Variable" TX bandwidth and the other settings too..
