Since installing PowerSDR 2.2.3 on my newly formatted PC and Flex 3000 that previously ran the previous version at 12-25% it now runs at 80-100% and is stalling and stuttering, has any one experienced this issue. My other PC much lowered spec (Also newly installed), is running at around 45-50% with my Flex 1500 with 2.2.3
System Spec
Flex 3000
Intel Core 2 Quad 6600
4 Gb fast ram
System drive 60 Gb Crucial SSD
Software drive 500 Gb Sata
Onboard firewire
Complete new install Win 7 Ultimate 64
V2.0.19 12-25% cpu use V2.2.3 80-100%

Flex 1500
AMD athlon 64 x2
2 Gb ram
500 Gb HD
USB
Complete new install Win 7 Ultimate 64
V2.0.19 45-50% no problems

Previously with 2.0.19 i ran both radios, tv software, email and web browsing at the same time and never ever got near 80% cpu usage, now with dedicated PC's for both radios the "High Spec" one will not run 2.2.3, the radios even run better on my Samsung N150 550 atom netbook. Any ideas from experienced users?

As a FYI, I am using PowerSDR v2.2.3 with my FLEX-1500 and the average CPU usage is < 20%. This is the same % as with earlier versions of PowerSDR I had been using. 80%+ does not seem to be normal.

BTW, as you know, the F-1500 uses USB and My USB Driver Buffer settings (General | Options) is set midway between Conservative and Aggressive.

Since this sis a new install is it possibly that maybe Win& is out in the background apply updates? also have all the device drivers been loaded correctly there are no BANGS (Yellow marks) in device manager ?

I am running an AMD X565 at 3.5 Ghz with 4 Gb ram on an MSI motherbaord with win 7 Professional 32Bit I also use an dedicated TI chipset PCI-e X1 firewire card and a dedicated PCI-e video card, thus I am not using anything extr like on-board video processing.

On average with nothing else running but PowerSDR and the normal try Icons I see about 12-23%

using Outlook email, and HRD logbook/DM780/VAC/DDutil and Mini-deluxe with SDR It normally hangs around 46-53% and have had no lag or drop outs.
make sure all the device drivers are up to date, if this is a store bought system check for bloatware! thats the stuff that many store bought off the shelf computers install claiming to be free or trails of programs lots of them just run idle in the background and or worthless check MSCONFIG and look in start up is there extra stuff there that is getting loaded when windows starts?

Another big issue I have seen is some of these FREE antivirus programs they are MEMORY hogs! and will drag down systems bad!

Avast / Norton and McAfee suites are a few that come to mind. Most antivirus programs will let you suspend there scanning or disable them for a short time look and see if you can and if so then check your CPU usage will it is disabled you might find it is a culprit.

I have had very good results with Eset antivirus it is not one from my personal experiences have found that slows down a PC and provides very good protection.

post back what you find.

and good luck

I am alsio interested in the stalling and stuttering.
i run a Flex SDR-1000 and the FA-66 card
This has to be the best set up for ESSB voodoo but have been recorded with a couple stutters now and agian more like a popping every so often.
Anyone have any experience of this popping and cures found so far would be good
Best regards,
