Running 2.2.2 beta with my F1500. I noticed that "BIN"aural reception does not seem to work is SSB. When I switch to 2.1.5 it works fine.

Before I log this in the "bug tracker", I wanted to know if I might be missing a setting.

I seem to see the same thing here with 2.2.2 using a 5KA. Selecting the BIN does nothing.

Hello

Binaural works fine here with the 2.2.2 release.

The rig is flex 1500
Computer is Panasonic Toughbook with centrino 1.2Ghz and 1.5 Go Ram - OS winXP Pro 32bits.

No bug found on 2.2.2 after a day of test with this portable configuration

Best regards

Très bizarre Éric (Interesting)...

Perhaps I need to clarify something: In 2.1.5 clicking on the BIN button toggles between BINaural and normal. In 2.2.2 beta, clicking on it does nothing. I am also using a Flex-1500.

The other oddity is that when VAC is started in 2.2.2 (VAC button is pushed), my USB based Webcam turns on and stays on. When I turn off VAC or shutdown 2.2.2, the webcam shuts off. This does NOT occur when I use 2.1.5 or with earlier versions.

2.2.2 works perfectly.
I have tried all features to find a bug and help other hams.

3rd party softs tested
HRD = ok
mixW = ok
WSPR = ok

Sorry, I can't help you more.
I've tried W7 when it was free for test.

Hello Éric,

Thanks for the feedback. I would suspect Windows 7 (which I believe is Microsoft's best operating system since Windows 2000 ;-) However, the problem ONLY occurs with beta 2.2.2. It doesn't appear with 2.1.5 or earlier versions which I still have on my computer.

In any event, this is a beta and I did list this in their bug tracker so I assume that it will be looked at then either dispelled as something on my computer or fixed.

Mes salutations ;-)

Mystery has been resolved regarding BIN & Webcam operation. It winds up being all on my side.

Beta 2.2.2 changes the VAC audio settings (Setup| Audio | VAC) by selecting "MME" as the driver and "Primary Sound Capture" for the input. I changed the first to "Windows Direct Sound" and the later to "Line In (HDA)" as I use the audio output from the F-1500 to drive my sound card via the line-in for data modes. VAC is used for voice.

Essentially, if I select MME for the driver, my Webcam starts every time ;-)

Hello Bruno,

Fine Business !

2.2.2 notch filter add-on is terrific !!
A great job from Flex-radio.

OK... back to our regular programming now ;-)

Since I figured out what I was doing wrong, I can say that beta 2.2.2 is pretty good. I really like the notch filter as it does a very good job indeed.

Ciao!
