I have a signal that is on 4.927MHz ( it has side spurs every 4KHz) the signal runs at -28dBm and is there with the antenna disconnected. It is due to the firewire connection as when I pull the firewire cable it disappears.

Does anyone have any fixes?

I am assuming that your hearing the 4.927 in another receiver ?? otherwise the radio stops working if you pull the firewire connection..

I can say that I do not have such a signal on my F5000.

The first thing I would try is replacing the firewire cable..

Good Luck

Al
Thanks for the reply. Yes I hear it in another receiver. I am using the cable that came with the rig. Could it be the USB card I am using? It is a PCMCIA card in a Lenovo laptop.

I suppose it could be a F3000 issue but have not heard of anyone else with this problem.. You may wish to contact support@flex-radio.com
