Is anyone running any of the 2.* software with out any problems ? I tried the 2.1 RC1 but cant transmit, shows an AM carrier on LSB on the screen. Pretty crazy, I have tried 2.0.22 as well and it locks up and crashes quite a bit. 1.18.6 is the most stable and I have no problems or issues with it.

Craig,

I have used 2.0.22 and 2.1.RC1 with my SDR-1000 and have not had the bugs you describe. The skins on 2.xx do stress the PC a bit more and could be a problem if your PC is a bit marginal.
I am using my SDR-1000 ( no ATU ) with a D44 sound card, parallel cable control on a Win XP SP3 PC, so can not atest to other configurations.
Please to not try to start out with an existing database.. Open Psdr and do a reset to factory defaults. Get 2.0.22 working before you try 2.1.rc1 ( It has a known major known bug, but that is what beta is for. )

You should be aware that 2.0.22 is blind when it comes to SDR-1000... It has a couple of SDR-1000 specific bugs of its own.

Well I am running a pretty decent computer so my CPU% hovers in the 30's and spikes up to the 60's when transmitting. Running windows 7 32 bit and the program will crash if you use the apply button. Also if you use the TUNE button you will have to shut it down and restart as it does something crazy with the TX on all bands, it looks like it just throws out a tune signal. I like the looks of the 2.* versions but 1.18.6 is rock solid for me.

Also if you dont do a quick record before using the record button, it wont play back over the air, yet another crazy problem which most likely has to do with Windows 7.
