When I tried to set up Flex SDR-1000 the computer error says I need M-Audio ASIO driver.

How can I get/find it without "driver dective/driver wiz" etc. and their associated nonsense ?

Assuming you have the M-audio D-44 sound card, you can go directly to the M-Audio web site and download the driver from there.
see http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support&tab=driver&serie_ID=1&PID=ad13e577f5e5f494c721095cefefd71b&OS=x72&show_older_releases=1#tabs
If your running on Win XP I would recommend the older 5.10.00.5069v3 driver... If your on someother WIn OS, the only option is the newer driver, in which case you need to pay attention to the TX sound card calibration level for the SDR-1000..

see also the "M-Audio Delta 44 Quick Start Guide" on the Flex download site.
