It's been years, and flex can't make a good Noise Reduction (NR).
Don't feel too bad, as Elecraft can't make a good NR function either.
I own a BHI NR unit sold in the USA by GAP.
Why not make a deal with BHI (in the UK) and include their NR unit inside the flex radios?
