Hello !

I use one week since my new toy! No problems with SSB and digital modes. The single biggest problem are very very noisy fans even more than three fans in my PC tower ...

Hello Daniel, is very strange .... I use the Flex3K since last year and I never had these problems with "noisy fans ".... I also read other posts like yours on this issue on among other things ... I use it vertically arranged (you can see the photo on qrz.com), "coupled" to the units' central computer ........... for curiosity: what value PowerSDR setup you have in the general section under Fan Temp Threshold? I read on my 40 C *.... I use Flex3K with firmware 2.0.0.4. PowerSDR & 2x Pretty Betty Branch v 1.19.3. SVN 3530 and runs with Windows 7 32bit

Hello Dave

Thank you for the link.

You didn't look hard enough. The description text on the firmware download says...

FLEX Firmware Package (2010.02.06)
Latest FLEX-5000 firmware version: 2.0.0.8

Latest FLEX-3000 firmware version: 2.0.0.8

This package contains previous version of firmware up to the versions listed above for both the FLEX-5000 and FLEX-3000
========================

I CAUTION YOU STRONGLY.

You are looking to use alpha firmware and software. This isn't the latest and greatest. It is the latest and broken.

You really need to fully understand how your SDR hardware and PowerSDR works before jumping into testing alpha software. There is no official support for this, so if you get your radio hosed up, do not expect FlexRadio support to bail you out. You use this software at your own risk.

No problem with your English. My French is much worse

Pretty Betty software is alpha software. It has not been released.

The firmware packages on the FlexRadio download site contains previous versions of the firmware.

Not more interesting. It supports the upcoming new PowerSDR v2.0.0 that will be released later this year.

No new features.
