I have spoken to a number of users who have pre-ordered a FLEX-1500, or plan to purchase one once they become available, and it is apparent that there are many uses for the upcoming FLEX-1500.

If you select other, be sure to tell us how you intend on using your FLEX-1500 by posting below!

I started out using the 1500 as a QRP radio to use in the field but found it awkward to carry along a laptop and power source.  Many contacts were made with it on 40 meter CW but now we now use it as a general coverage receiver with an old laptop we have in the shack.  Now we have a total of 3 receivers, two in the 5000A and the 1500.  I figure $600 isn't bad for a topnotch SDR receiver.
Forgot to mention that by splitting my 10 MHz reference signal from the Z3801A GPS unit that I also have a topnotch frequency meter and spectrum analyzer.  If necessary, a signal into a dummy load from the 5000A can act as a marker generator of sorts.

We suffer from kleptomania and sometimes have to take something for it.

My F1.5K was bought to be use for QRP and mobil (still in the planning stage).

The F5K (on air) and F3k (spare station) are in the house and used very often!

I love my NO KNOBS RADIOS!
