| I have spoken to a number of users who have pre-ordered a FLEX-1500, or plan to purchase one once they become available, and it is apparent that there are many uses for the upcoming FLEX-1500. If you select other, be sure to tell us how you intend on using your FLEX-1500 by posting below!

I started out using the 1500 as a QRP radio to use in the field but found it awkward to carry along a laptop and power source. Many contacts were made with it on 40 meter CW but now we now use it as a general coverage receiver with an old laptop we have in the shack. Now we have a total of 3 receivers, two in the 5000A and the 1500. I figure $600 isn't bad for a topnotch SDR receiver. Forgot to mention that by splitting my 10 MHz reference signal from the Z3801A GPS unit that I also have a topnotch frequency meter and spectrum analyzer. If necessary, a signal into a dummy load from the 5000A can act as a marker generator of sorts.
We suffer from kleptomania and sometimes have to take something for it.

| My F1.5K was bought to be use for QRP and mobil (still in the planning stage). The F5K (on air) and F3k (spare station) are in the house and used very often! I love my NO KNOBS RADIOS! 73, Ernest
