| I have tried to connect a heil foot petal with relay to my 1000 with saultering to pin 7 with the ground to pin 15. when I depress the foot pedal it keys the amp but not the radio? Which pin do I need to connect to key radio also? thanks for you time w1toa

From page 8 for the SDR-1000 operating manual.. I would us pin 10 (except CW) or pin 11 to pin 15(ground)
