I bought my 5000A in early March this year 2009 and it came with a red pilot light. Are all the new ones coming out with red? No big deal but when I see photos of 5000A rigs, I beleive the blue stands out better?
We suffer from kleptomania and sometimes have to take something for it.

Green means go, good or normal. So I vote for green.

| I agree, I just received my new 5000a and when I turned it on the first time and saw the red light. I thought it was in some kind of fault mode. I prefer either blue or green. Dave

The story goes that after a few months of production with the Blue Switch, the Blue switch became unavailable any where at a any price so rather that stop production Red switchs where installed..
I have no idea if Blues are now available or will every be available or if Flex with ever revert back to the Blues...
But I am not sure that would like the Red as much as the Blue.

Hey, there are so many real issues with (all) Flex Radios, why worry about a pilot light color ?? If it is LIT, it's ON !!

Yeah, I was going to ask about the light when sending my 5000A in for the V/U install but as someone mentioned, blue lights are gone. Blue has the tendency to get on your nerves if it is too close, just like teenagers driving with those blue headlights--hi.
We suffer from kleptomania and sometimes have to take something for it.
