I am the happy owner of a new used sdr-1000, 100pa, edirol soundcard, no atu.  The problem I am having is my output (wattage) is very erratic.  Ranging from 50 to 129 watt  when I hit the "tune" button.  I have tried to transmit on 75m AM and the unmodulated carrier is unstable due to the output problem. I looked at the carrier on a scope and it changes approx every 2 seconds1

The meters on my Astron VS-35M go wild with each pulse from the flex.... drawing about 25 watts when output is at its peak.

Any thoughts as to the fluxuating output?

Thank you,

Theo

Hi, I have experienced the same problems. I cant stress enough CABLES CABLES CABLES. Getting the proper cables helps to eliminate a vast majority of of SDR problems. Once I received my OEM cables as recommended by Flex my troubles were gone. Good luck!!!!  The 1000 is a great radio and fun to own.
