XVTR fix

I found that my problem with xvtr was my lack of knowledge about the program...turns

out you have to put in some info in the XVTRs tab on main screen before the 2.xxx vers will

recognize the xvtr. but there is no instructions anywhere to tell you that...!!!

but i still get an UNHANDELED EXECPTION WHIN I RETURN TO HF...i can live with that if i have to...

2.1.5 another disappointment

Well I gave up trying to use 2.1.5, when using an amplifier and the X2 connection to key it you will get all kinds of Crazy SWR readings and it will fold back the power. I have verified it with 2 other users that run amps and the X2 connection.

Seems like no fix will be coming and no one from flex on the reflectors will even acknowledge the issue. :angry:

Remote operation with IP-Sound

I am using my flex 1000 to operate my flex radio within my network. So far things are working OK. I have to fiddle with the audio settings, but thats I can handle.

What I can't figure out is IP-sound keeps saying "trial" in a female voice every 10 seconds or so over and over.

I've searched the net and I've read the knowlegebase articles which seems to have worked since I am working remote.

From everything I have read there is no such thing as a trial version of ip-sound.

Pulsing Audio

Not sure what happened but I tried to run Win 7 64 bit and couldnt do it because of the LPT port driver, so I went back to 32 bit and reinstalled all my drivers and software, now any version of PSDR 2.0 I try to run I get pulsing audio. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be ??

Is this the same as a video cable? if not where do I buy one? I don't have the rig yet but is being shipped to me, so want to have that connector or a cable. I looked on the post in the search area but didn't find the answer. Or the Flex web site also. Thanks Jim w4wwj size]

Interesting .... I really like the Tunable Notch Filters but I did find a "birdie" on 10mtrs that is really really loud at times that my TNF did not take care of totally with the deepest setting. So I stacked another on top of it and wow!! It did the job! I think the loud noise is from a nearby factory and it varies a lot but now I know that the TNF's are additive. It was probably in the documentation somewhere or posted somewhere but for me it was a new discovery.

double appearance

I really do not know how to describe this problem. Since I downloaded the new version of PSDR, I have had a strange appearance on my Flex Radio screen. A gray line has appeared below the panadapter screen and it runs to the bottom of the screen. In addition many of the descriptive words on the screen show a second half of the descriptive words. This is apparent on the Bands and the TX/ATU/VOX areas. Anyone have any suggestions to correct. It does not seem to effect the functions, but it is annoying.

SDR-1000, both sidebands transmitted even though LSB or USB selected

Just purchased a used SDR-1000 and put it on the air. Get reception reports that both sidebands are being transmitted even though I have selected SSB. Switched between LSB and USB, still receiving station still reports my signal has both sidebands. Help!

I have it working with mmsstv,works well...but with easypal it seems to tx OK ,. but rx is a differant story!!!

another rig and computer picks up fine,,on same signal...but flex and easypal never locks in on MSC...

I think maybe the audio on the vac is not strong enough or the reminder to register the program is causing the problem!!!Does anyone know for sure??? I hate to spend the money on the program if it"s not going to work!!!

two meter is not even recugnized inthe newer software.. all ver.s above 1.18.6 ...

click on two meter button and program just stays where it was!!! works as it should in 1.18.6 and pre. any known reason for this ???

SDR-1000 Problems

Ok I have my SDR 1000 all set up with an Edirol FA66 and I am using the 2.0.22 software.

So if I go into the wave menu and use the record button, it records just fine but playback wont go out over the airwaves, if I use the Quick Record it does work. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be ??

I'm on windows 7 32bit and everything else works GREAT !

Is anyone running any of the 2.* software with out any problems ? I tried the 2.1 RC1 but cant transmit, shows an AM carrier on LSB on the screen. Pretty crazy, I have tried 2.0.22 as well and it locks up and crashes quite a bit. 1.18.6 is the most stable and I have no problems or issues with it.

I have an SDR-1000 / Delta 44 working very nicely under XP. I'd like to make it work on Windows 7. The issue is getting the Delta 44 driver to work properly. I tried my usual bag of tricks to no avail ie: install XP driver in 7 under compatibility mode: XP SP2/3.
Have any of you done this ? Am I on the right track and just mess up or what ??
I did manage to get the USB/Parallel FLEX cable to work under Windows 7 (Actually, KC3OL did it, I watched.) All that's required is to use the XP driver DLL for the device after first installing USBIO. (Update device driver)
So come on. Impress me ! I'm fine with XP, but I'd be even finer with 7...

SDR 1000 external oscillator

Recently bought an used sdr 1000 with the external mod oscillator already done (using an isotemp ocx0131-100 10mhz oscillator module)
which according to the Flex Radio people needs to be replaced due to being very unstable. At this time I can not receive www or anything
else. No signals on the pan adapter. I would appreciate any information relating to the acquisition of a new oscillator etc.

Forward power reading with SDR 2.0.16: digital display is 1000x analog display.

When transmitting with my SDR-1000 (no power amplfier installed), using 2.0.16, the digital forward power reading appears to be multipled by 1000. The analog reading (needle) looks okay. For example, with the drive adjusted for ~80 mW on the analog display, the digital display reads 78400 mW. When I adjust the drive slider, both measurements track (except for the factor of 1000 in the digital display). The display reads properly when I use 1.18.6.

Is there a fix for this? (Obviously not a big issue)

I heve never had this one before and do not have a clue how to get around it. Any advice on the subject would be well recived.

10 MHz OCXO Connection Information Needed

Hello and good day.

I recently bought a Flex 1000 and have enjoyed this new to me system. A very different world than my conventional radios.

I wish to interface a high stability 10 MHz external OCXO to this radio for greater frequency stability. I want to connect this to my 1296 MHz transverter.

I have spent considerable time searching for information related to this modification, but have found nothing specific.

Can anyone please steer me to a source of information to help me complete this task?

I do not know what level of signal is intended to be injected instead of the internal 200 MHz clock, and if a sine or square or either input signal at 10 MHz will work?

Also the internal clock needs to be removed, but I can find no specific information on this.

Hi!

I usually run my SDR-1000 in conjunction with a desktop computer that has a parallel port built in. However, I wanted to be able to run my SDR-1000 with a laptop computer as well.

I purchased a StarTech PCI Express-to-Parallel port adapter ($59.00 from Amazon.com); and installed it on my Sony laptop computer.

It works fine (at least as far as I can tell). I'm using my SDR-1000 to receive and to transmit on 75 meter AM.

Configuration:

Sony VAIO laptop, Intel Core Duo, Windows Vista SP2, 32bit

Sound card: M-Audio ProFire 610 (192kHz, 4 channels, M-Audio ASIO) installed on laptop.

StarTech PCI express card installed on laptop. Properties (as installed, per Windows Device Manager): Port settings - LPT Port number: LPT3. Resources - I/O range: 5000-5007; and 4000-4003

SDR-1000 setup (general/hardware menu): LPT address (manually set to): 5000.

How to hook up Foot pedal with relay

I have tried to connect a heil foot petal with relay to my 1000 with saultering to pin 7 with the ground to pin 15.

when I depress the foot pedal it keys the amp but not the radio? Which pin do I need to connect to key radio also?
