Many contacts were made with it on 40 meter CW but now we now use it as a general coverage receiver with an old laptop we have in the shack. Now we have a total of 3 receivers, two in the 5000A and the 1500. I figure $600 isn't bad for a topnotch SDR receiver.
Forgot to mention that by splitting my 10 MHz reference signal from the Z3801A GPS unit that I also have a topnotch frequency meter and spectrum analyzer. If necessary, a signal into a dummy load from the 5000A can act as a marker generator of sorts.

Uses for the FLEX-1500

I have spoken to a number of users who have pre-ordered a FLEX-1500, or plan to purchase one once they become available, and it is apparent that there are many uses for the upcoming FLEX-1500.

If you select other, be sure to tell us how you intend on using your FLEX-1500 by posting below!
